Bio
Peters led the Panthers to a 19-10 record and a trip to the 6A State Tournament before dropping a 2-point decision in the Quarterfinals. A three-year starter for Head Coach Dexter Hendrix, Peters led the Panthers in scoring, averaging 18.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
He earned All-Conference honors as both a junior and senior before being named to the 6A All-State Team and the 6A All-State Tournament Team. Peters finished his career in the Benton High School 1,000-Point Club, finishing with 1,081 points in three seasons. In addition, he was one of 30 seniors in the state of Arkansas chosen to play in the AHSCA All-Star Game held June 23 at the Farris Center located on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He also played on a travel team, Salt County, coached by his high school coach, Dexter Hendrix.
Peters joins former teammate Shaheed Halk, who returns for his sophomore season for the Greyhounds.
