Second-Half Surge Lifts Lady Pioneers Past Lady Greyhounds
Harrison, Ark - It was a tale of two halves for the ASU Mid-South Lady Greyhounds, as a strong first-half performance gave way to a dominant second half by North Arkansas, resulting in a loss for ASU Mid-South.
The Lady Greyhounds held a slim two-point advantage at the halftime break after leading for the majority of the first half. ASU Mid-South controlled the tempo early and was able to keep North Arkansas in check, heading into the locker room with momentum.
That momentum quickly shifted coming out of halftime. North Arkansas came out on fire in the second half, outscoring the Lady Greyhounds by 18 points over the final two quarters. The Lady Pioneers shot an efficient 58 percent from the field in the second half, applying constant pressure that proved too much for ASU Mid-South to overcome.

ASU Mid-South was led by Shatalya Boyland with 14 points, followed closely by Alana Whiten with 13. Lula-Jae Tranfaglia and Cadence Irby each finished with nine points in the effort.
With the loss, the Lady Greyhounds fall to 6-17 overall and 3-6 in Region play as they look to regroup and prepare for their next conference matchup when they travel to El Dorado, Arkansas to take on South Arkansas College on Saturday, February 14.
