Lady Greyhounds Overmatched in 90–39 Road Loss to Northwest Mississippi
Senatobia, Miss. - The ASU Mid-South Lady Greyhounds struggled to find their footing Wednesday night, falling 90–39 to a dominant Northwest Mississippi squad that controlled the game from the opening tip. The Lady Rangers opened with the first ten points of the contest and never trailed, using relentless defensive pressure and second-chance opportunities to put the game out of reach early.
Northwest Mississippi forced 32 turnovers and converted those mistakes into 39 points, setting the tone with aggressive on-ball pressure and disruptive traps. The Lady Rangers also overpowered ASU Mid-South on the glass, pulling down 27 offensive rebounds—10 of them from Alorian Story alone. Despite the overwhelming number of second-chance opportunities, Northwest turned those offensive boards into 22 points.
Story led the way with a dominant double-double, posting 16 points and 16 rebounds to anchor Northwest's attack. Dekyra Mitchell added 13 points, while Takera Bland and Andrea Rios each contributed 10 as the Lady Rangers improved their early-season rhythm with a balanced scoring effort.
