WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — After a tough home loss earlier in the week, the ASU Mid-South Lady Greyhounds bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon, defeating Shawnee Community College 61-41.
Trailing by just one point at halftime, the Lady Greyhounds came out strong in the second half, outscoring Shawnee by 21 to secure the 20-point victory.
Lula-Jae Tranfaglia led the charge with 23 points, while Alana Whiten added 12. Cadence Irby provided a spark off the bench with 9 points, and T'Nya Ray contributed 7 points along with 11 rebounds to anchor the inside.
Shawnee was paced by Diamond Gray with 16 points and Keniya Ward with 10.
With the win, ASU Mid-South improves its early-season record and looks to build momentum heading into its next matchup.
