Greyhounds Jump Two Spots to #13
After claiming the NJCAA Region 2 title Saturday, the Greyhounds have risen two spots to #13 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings released March 6.
After claiming the NJCAA Region 2 title Saturday, the Greyhounds have risen two spots to #13 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings released March 6.
The Greyhounds also moved up in several other categories as they are now fourth in the nation in scoring, averaging 95.9 points per game. They are also ranked seventh in field goal percentage (49.5%), seventh in rebounding (46.9 rebounds per game), eighth in assists (21.1 assists per game), and 15th in steals (10.5 steals per game).
Individually, Shaheed Halk continues to lead the NJCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio (6.2:1) while Kamron Rose and Trevor Banks are ranked in field goal percentage, 19th (61.4%) and 20th (61.4%), respectively. Jerrick Cole is ranked 28th in three-point field goal percentage (44.1%), and Banks is ranked 40th in offensive rebounds (3.1 per game).
The Greyhounds travel to Kansas City, Missouri, and take on the host MCC-Penn Valley Scouts Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for the NJCAA District XIII Championship with the winner advancing to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament held in Danville, Illinois, March 20-24.
