Bio

Montgomery finished his high school career by averaging 17.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game for a 14-12 team who struggled with injuries throughout the season. Despite the setbacks, Montgomery shot 40% from the field, 34% from the three-point line and 69% from the free throw line as he netted a team-high 55 treys in 25 games for head coach Tori Harris.

As a junior, Montgomery teamed with current Greyhound Ladarius Mason and helped the team to a 22-7 record and second-place finish in 6A Region 1 before capturing the District 2 Championship and advancing to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. The Eagles finished that season ranked #12 overall in the state of Mississippi according to MaxPreps.com, and Montgomery was named to the 6A Region 1 All-District team as both a junior and senior.
