The Lady Greyhounds fell 75-70 to Holmes Community College (MS) Monday at The Dog House for their first loss of the season.
Teiangula Boston led the hosts with 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists, Sable Greer matched her with 17 points, and Alesha Penister finished with 11 points and 4 assists. After scoring 42 points and taking a four-point lead at the half, ASU Mid-South managed only 28 points in the second frame as the Lady Bulldogs capitalized by hitting 13 of 20 free throws to the Lady Greyhounds' 3-for-6 effort. For the game, Holmes shot 26-for-38 from the line while ASU Mid-South was 13-for-23 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Greyhounds drop to 3-1 on the young season and travel to LSU Eunice Thursday before returning to The Dog House for a double-header with the men on Monday, November 13, against Northwest Mississippi Community College.
