Lady Greyhounds Fall to Lady Indians

Despite forcing 29 turnovers, the Lady Greyhounds just couldn't overcome a tough Itawamba Community College squad and fell 77-64 to break a four-game winning streak.

Struggling to score in the first half, ASU Mid-South found themselves down 32-20 at halftime and just couldn't close the gap despite putting up 44 points in the second half.

Sable Greer led the Lady Greyhounds with 23 points while Alesha Penister finished with 11 and Samantha Jackson and Rachel Gramling scored nine points each. The Lady Greyhounds were 17-of-24 from the free throw line (71%), but Itawamba countered by going 80% from the line and hitting 52% from the field.

The Lady Greyhounds return to the court Saturday in the first of two games against Rhema College from Oklahoma. Tipoff is at 2:00pm with the men's game to follow.
