For the second time this season, Jalen Lynn, a 6'0" freshman from Collierville, Tennessee, has been named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week.
Lynn helped the Greyhounds defeat Northeast Mississippi Community College Tuesday in Booneville, Mississippi, scoring a season-high 28 points on 6-of-13 shooting, hitting 3-of-8 from the three-point line and 13-of-16 from the free throw line, and then scoring 13 points in a loss at Southern Arkansas University Tech on 3-of-6 shooting with 2 three-pointers and hitting 5-of-7 from the charity stripe.
Currently leading the team in scoring by averaging over 17 points per game, Lynn is shooting over 45% from the field, over 36% from the 3-point line and nearly 82% from the free throw line as the Greyhounds hold a 10-4 record and are receiving votes in the NJCAA National Poll.
The Greyhounds continue their road swing Saturday in a Region 2 matchup at North Arkansas College and follow that up with trips to Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould Monday and National Park College in Hot Springs on Thursday. They then return to The Dog House with a January 28 matchup with Northwest Mississippi Community College at 6:00pm.
