In perhaps the most exciting game of the season, the Greyhounds found themselves tied with less than 30 seconds remaining, but Arkansas Baptist College hit two free throws and ASU Mid-South turned the ball over on their last possession and ABC hit a last-second three-pointer for the final 102-97 decision Saturday at The Dog House.
The Greyhounds led 56-53 at the half behind 16 points from Tyler Armstrong and shot the ball better in every category, but Arkansas Baptist capitalized on 20 offensive rebounds and 18 ASU Mid-South turnovers to get the win. Armstrong led all scorers with 29 points while Joe'Randle Toliver went for 21 including 6-6 from the three-point line. Trent Steen finished with 14 points, Cameron Ricks chipped in 10 and Ladarious Mason scored 8 points to go with a team-high 8 rebounds.
The Greyhounds now turn their attention to Tuesday's home matchup with Blue Mountain College JV at 6:00 p.m. The Toppers are coming off a 74-71 win over Crowley's Ridge College, but the Greyhounds have won their last two meetings.
