Greyhounds Come Up Short in Exciting Battle

Coming off two wins in the Greyhound Tipoff Classic, ASU Mid-South just came up on the short end of a 89-84 battle with Northwest Mississippi that featured 7 ties and 10 lead changes and entertained a packed Dog House for nearly two hours.

Despite out-rebounding the Rangers and holding them under 40% shooting, ASU Mid-South simply couldn't overcome the visitor's 47 free throws to the Greyhounds' 24.

Joe'Randle Toliver led the Greyhounds with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while Tasmania Jones dropped in 20 points to go with 8 rebounds on 9 of 10 shooting. Tyler Armstrong contributed with 10 points while Trent Steen had 8 points, 6 boards and 3 blocks.

The Greyhounds travel to Paragould Monday night to take on Crowley's Ridge College at 7:00pm for the first of seven straight games on the road. Their next home game is Saturday, December 5, as they host West Kentucky Community & Technical College at 3:00pm.
